Walk Together returns on Saturday 5 September 2026, offering participants the chance to enjoy a scenic walk through Haywards Heath and Bolnore Village, all while raising vital funds for your local children’s charity.

With two routes to choose from, Walk Together is perfect for all abilities:

5K accessible walk- A fully accessible walk through Bolnore Village, ideal for families, pushchairs, and wheelchair users.

15K mixed-terrain trek- A more challenging route through Haywards Heath and Bolnore Village for those looking to push themselves.

Both walks start from Victoria Park in Haywards Heath and promise a scenic tour around the area, highlighting the fantastic green spaces in our locality. An event like this is a great opportunity to get together with friends, family, or colleagues and have fun; use as a motivation to enjoy some gentle exercise; meet like-minded people and make new friends; give something back to your local community in support of local families; and reflect on the positive qualities in your own life.

RRT will be providing a free BBQ at the finish line, and all paying participants receive a medal.

As a charity that receives no statutory funding, we rely on the support of our amazing community to fundraise for us.  Our full service, which is not available anywhere else in our region, costs £600,000 per year to deliver FREE for our families.

While there is no minimum fundraising target, we kindly ask participants to raise £150 per person. Our focus this year is to reach more children with cerebral palsy and other motor learning impairments, who will benefit from the life-changing support we offer.

Some of the incredible children we support are on their journey towards taking their first step – a moment every parent dreams of. By taking part in Walk Together you will be helping so many incredible children work towards a life changing milestone that was once thought impossible, one step at a time.

Every step you take gets a child like Albert closer to taking their first step

Albert has come on leaps and bounds. Now, our little boy runs around the park, which we never thought would happen. Without the help of the charity, he just wouldn’t be where he is now.

– Lisa, Albert’s mum

Born prematurely at 25 weeks, Albert had a tough start in life. After using all the services at DVLCC, Albert is about to start school!

Early bird entry for the walk is £20 for adults and £10 for children, families of four (2 adults, 2 children) will be able to purchase entry at £50 – with £5 tickets for any additional children.

All participants will receive a medal and free BBQ at the end of the walk. T-shirts are available to purchase separately for £10.

Individuals who raise over £300 in sponsorship, before the day of the event, will become part of our exclusive 300 Club, receiving a free goodie bag and Walk Together t-shirt to wear on the day of the event.

Once you have booked all your places, set up your JustGiving page to start your fundraising. We kindly ask you set your target at £150 per person so we can continue to support more incredible families.
