Teladoc Health

We were thrilled to welcome a fantastic team from Teladoc Health for a corporate volunteering day filled with creativity and collaboration!

Six brilliant members of Teladoc Health’s HR team joined us at our centre to support both our fundraising and service delivery teams. They threw themselves into a full day of hands-on activities – and we were blown away by their energy and enthusiasm.

In the morning, the team took on a creative challenge: to design a sensory garden for our children and families to enjoy! Drawing on their professional skills, local knowledge and a generous dose of imagination, they developed a full proposal – including design concepts, budgeting and a fundraising plan. We absolutely loved their presentation!

After a well-earned lunch break, it was time to get stuck into a more practical task. The team rolled up their sleeves, divided into groups and set to work deep-cleaning our outreach vans – inside and out! They also meticulously wiped down all our outreach equipment with antibacterial products. For the children we support, many of whom are vulnerable to infections, this is more than just a cleaning job – it’s a vital health and safety measure, and we are so grateful for their care and attention.

“Seeing first hand the music therapy and physiotherapy sessions in action and hearing about the other fantastic services offered by Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity was inspiring. From the warm welcome from all the team, seeing the children and parents during sessions and learning about the positive impact DVLCC has on their lives showed how vital its services are to local families and children in need.   The whole of the THUK HR team thoroughly enjoyed our volunteering day and can’t wait to join the team again.”

We are always incredibly grateful to companies like Teladoc Health who generously give their time to support our work. Our corporate volunteering days are a great way for teams to connect, give back and directly support children with cerebral palsy and other motor learning impairments.

If your organisation is looking for a meaningful and memorable way to make a difference – while also meeting your CSR goals – we’d love to hear from you!
