Volunteering

We are always on the lookout for willing volunteers who can help us at our Centre in Cuckfield within the fundraising team, or at any of the various events we attend and organise throughout the year.

Volunteers can help on whatever timescale is best for them – from manning our reception desk one day every week, to distributing collection boxes, leaflet dropping or helping out at any of our annual events – the list is endless. We welcome whatever time you can give – every minute you volunteer helps us continue our work and support our families.

We were lucky to have volunteers from RSA in Horsham who helped us with painting at our Centre in Cuckfield when we moved in and also a team from Unum who assisted with a bucket collection at Lingfield Park. Foresters Financial are also holding a volunteer day to wrap Christmas parcels for our children which they also kindly donated. Rapid Relief volunteer their time and provide all the refreshments and food for our annual fundraising walk as well as helping with our bucket collections during the year.  HSBC provide volunteers every year to help us at the Charity Christmas card shop at Horsham Museum.

We also have a lovely volunteer, Patricia, who comes into the office twice a week and is currently helping us coordinate our collection boxes and inputting information onto our database.

Volunteering is a great way for companies to strengthen their corporate social responsibilites.  An alternative team-building day could involve staff helping with minor DIY jobs, attending events of lending their business expertise.

We can never have enough volunteers, so if you have a few hours to spare and would like to do something rewarding to support a local Charity then we would love to hear from you.
