My personal interest started in 1992 when helping to raise funds for SOS, Dame Vera’s celebrity charity for children with cerebral palsy. In 2001 when the funding ceased on the pre-school at Ingfield Manor I was involved with the launch of the Bluebird Appeal which raised enough funds for the service to be able to continue with the setting-up of the Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity. I am still as committed today to the vital service that is provided by the Charity and am excited about the future with our new location and the team we have in place to be able to expand and offer additional services to families from across the South East
