We help children aged 0-5 with cerebral palsy and other motor learning impairments make the best possible start in life – and give families the support and skills to continue their development at home.
Our early intervention services run all year round and enable parents to see the potential their child has and also helps them to engage with and actively play with their child. Our innovative and essential early intervention services follow the principles of Conductive Education. Sessions are delivered in partnership with parents to support their child to develop physically, socially and emotionally, forming the bedrock of the independence they can achieve later in life. We celebrate the children we work with, no matter their ability, to show parents and the wider world everything they can do.
We provide hands on one-to-one and small group active sessions through our transdisciplinary team including conductors, paediatric physio, speech and language therapist and outreach support in the home. Children also have access to assistive technology, such as white boards, tablets and 'magic carpet.' We have a dedicated sensory room with bubble tubes, fibre optics and soft furniture which parents are welcome to use. We offer additional sessions such as messy play, music therapy, swimming, portage home play, sensory sessions and parent support network which all support the development of the child.
No formal diagnosis or referral is required. All our services are offered free of charge. We have helped over 600 families from across the Southeast and provide over 1,400 hours of service each year. Families are welcome to drop into our Centre and talk to our staff, who can support them in taking the next step to helping their child.
