Sylvia Harris organised the River of Poppies Community Project 2018 to raise funds for the British Legion and Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity. She has managed to raise a fantastic £681.40 for our Charity.
The poppies were made to mark the 100th anniversary of World War One and Sylvia held workshops where people from the community and local organisations were involved in making the poppies. The first poppy was planted on Sunday 15th July.
All the poppies were planted by volunteers on Muster Green in Haywards Heath. This week Syliva has been selling the poppies for donations to charity and she will be at the Orchards in Haywards Heath this Saturday from 10.00am to 2.00pm if you would like to own one of these unique poppies by making a donation.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Sylvia for all her hard work and support.
