Portrait of Dame Vera Lynn at Royal Albert Hall

We were delighted to join members of Dame Vera's family and friends for the event held in London yesterday.

The portrait by acclaimed Norwegian Artist, Ross Kolby and commissioned by The London Mint Office was unveiled by Dame Vera's daughter Virginia Lewis-Jones and Britian's Got Talent Winner, Colin Thackery.  Colin then performed  Dame Vera's iconic song "We'll Meet Again" accompanied on the piano by New Zealand entertainer Vicki Lee.

The painting, which features a spitfire, the white cliffs of Dover and a night sky displaying constellations that she saw whilst entertaining in India in 1944, will remain on display in The Royal Albert Hall.  You can read more about the event here. Dame Vera Portrait.
