Now in its 5th year, the Arundel to Brighton walk starts at 7.30am on the morning of Saturday 16th September, from the beautiful Arundel Castle and spans across the magnificent landscape of the South Downs before finishing at Devil's Dyke, on the outskirts of Brighton. The Charity has teamed up with Pied A Terre Adventures to help organise this event and are pleased to be able to offer two distances for those wishing to take part – 12km (2-3 hours walk) or 35km (8-9 hours walk). Rest assured there will be regular refreshment stops and plenty of encouragement and support throughout!
The A2B is a wonderful opportunity for companies wishing to support a local charity to get involved and your 'team' will be helping to raise vital funds for our families. Steve Lintott and his team at Stay Safe Driving have been supporting our charity for a number of years by donating funds through their 'taster' sessions of their Young Drivers Experience.
Steve said: "We already knew how these donations would change young children's lives for the better, but always felt like we wanted to contribute more. In 2016 we all decided to take part in the Arundel to Brighton walk, without fully realising or appreciating just how much of a difference it would make to our lives as well as those we were raising money for. An amazing team bonding day, bringing us closer than ever and discovering talents and personalities often hidden from view during day to day business"

Entry to participate is £36 per adult, £11 per child or a team of 3 adults for £100. Fundraising is highly encouraged with individual walkers asked to raise a minimum of £100 and teams of three asked to raise £400. Walkers who reach their individual/team fundraising target will be entered into a draw to win a special prize!
In this special year for the Charity, as we celebrate our President, Dame Vera Lynn's 100th Birthday, we would like to raise £30,000 from the A2B Walk to allow us to fund our new Outreach Service for its first year. Given that many of our children suffer with additional medical conditions families are not always able to attend our service. As such, our Outreach Service will help provide support to those of our families who cannot otherwise come to us, or who would like some additional support in their own home. Our Outreach Service will include home visits as well as leveraging digital audio visual technology to allow families to participate virtually in sessions and to benefit from online video tutorials.
