Charity of the Year: The Mayor of Haywards Heath, Jim Knight, chose Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity as his Charity to support during his term of office and raised money from a number of events held throughout the year. Robert Walters UK voted to support Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity as their Charity of the Year 2019.
Employee Fundraising: Puzzler Media have been supporters of our Charity for a number of years and hold an annual 'Bake Off' competition where staff are invited to bring in their baking creations for the office staff to sample for a donation to our Charity. Brown Shipley and Company hold football competitions throughout the year and the proceeds of these events are donated to our Charity.
Employee Volunteering: We had a willing team of volunteers from Royal and Sun Alliance who kindly came to paint the walls at our Centre in Cuckfield when we moved in into our new premises. A group of volunteers from Unum also came to help with a bucket collection at our event at Lingfield Park racecourse. Foresters Financial are wrapping Christmas presents for our children and have also donated the presents. Rapid Relief provide the refreshments and food for our annual fundraising walk and also volunteer at bucket collections.
Sponsorship: Avtura have kindly sponsored our WALK TOGETHER event taking place in September our biggest fundraiser of the year.
Company Donations: Veritas Asset Management and Vega Europe made donations to our Charity instead of sending Christmas cards last year. Foresters Financial made a donation to purchase Christmas presents for our children and are providing a volunteer day to wrap the parcels for us. Impact Creative Services donated their time and services to edit our videos. West Sussex Antique Timber Company made a donation at the Lingfield Park Spring Ladies Day.
Gifts in Kind: Fay Millar creater of Brighton Cakes has kindly donated some of her amazing cakes to our Charity for our Business Pulse networking days. Heather Barrie of Harrie's Coffee donated her time and supplied us with coffee at our networking event. Audi Five Oaks have donated the use of a car for our Walk Together event Ridgeview Wine Estate and Bolney Wine Estate have donated wine for our events. Jeremey's Restaurant at Borde Hill provided canapes for an event. Ockenden Manor and Steam Dreams have donated raffle prizes. Chelsea FC for donating a signed football for an event.
